RAF IDPA Match - October 10, 2005
 

Match Procedure: Two shooters will shoot the match at once. First, both of you will shoot stages 1 and 2. You will then reload your magazines and shoot stages 3 and 4. Please read the supplied course descriptions. If you have any questions, please ask the Safety Officer (SO) before you begin the course of fire.

Stage 1: Wrong Party (9 rounds Vickers Count)
Scenario: Three democrats are intent on violating your civil rights - defend yourself.
Stage Procedure: Start at Position 1. Engage T10,11,12 with 3 rounds each in tactical sequence AND priority while retreating.

Stage 2: Diamond heist (15 rounds Vickers Count)
Scenario: You are putting your diamonds into your car trunk when seven armed thugs try to rob you - stop them!
Stage Procedure: Start HOLDING the diamonds in both hands with your torso up against middle barrel. Toss your diamonds (in this case, the mess of rings & connectors) into the trunk (actually the forward barrel). Draw your gun and engage T4 with 2 rounds to the body and 1 to the head. Take LOW cover and engage T1-3 with 2 rounds each around the LEFT side of the barrels and T5-7 with 2 rounds each around the RIGHT of the barrels. 1 procedural if your diamonds do not make it into the barrel.

Stage 3: Standards (21 rounds LIMITED Vickers Count)
Scenario: Don't Miss
Stage Procedure:

  • String 1: Start at MAX division capacity. Engage T1-3 around either side of the barricade with 2 rounds each. Perform any IDPA legal reload. Engage T1-3 with 2 rounds each around the OTHER side of the barricade
  • String 2: Engage T1-3 with 1 round to each HEAD using strong hand ONLY.
  • String 3: Start with gun in WEAK hand. Engage T1-3 with 2 rounds each using WEAK hand only.


    • Stage 4: Eight armed thugs - year right!! (14 rounds Vickers Count)
    Scenario: You hear noises outside your home. You go to investigate and notice some thugs in your back yard. One draws a gun. Retreat and stop them!
    Stage Procedure: Start at the corner of the wall on the spot marked 4. Retreat to cover and engage targets T5 thru T12 with two rounds each making proper use of cover at ALL TIMES.
