World-renowned trainer and author Dr. Richard Wigginton, DSI Director, gives instructional hands on seminars for the different levels of armed professionals and civilians. He is a survival instructor with a goal to assist the student in staying alive. Dr. Wigginton's clients & students have included agents & firearm instructors of the U.S. Treasury Dept., U.S. Secret Service Presidential Security, U.S. Justice Dept. Bureaus of INS agents & firearms instructors, U.S. Border Patrol, USMC Inspector & Instructor Staff, International Police Training Assn., and Defensive Tactics & Firearms Instructors, federal, state & municipal. Former USMC Close Combat Instructor & Small Arms Expert, Wigginton is a 1988 graduate of Ken Hackathorn's Advanced Tactical Handgun, Personal Protection Systems, Ltd. Select Fire Submachine Gun, his specialty being Close Quarters Unarmed & Armed Combat. Since 1973 his interviews, articles & commentaries have graced the pages of seven publishing groups, numerous magazine titles & newspapers. Wigginton, a former U.S. Marine is a member of the VFW, American Legion and a former officer of the Marine Corps. League.
